Yogyakarta - A new found place for Adventures

Timang Beach used to be an isolated spot, located at the end of a bumpy road from a quaint farming village. In recent years, tourist flooded this area, made famous by an episode of Running Man (Korean's variety show). One of the highlights is the yellow Gondola that takes the adventurous ones across the raging sea to a little island.  Personally, the sea-view is stunning. For a moment, I thought I was at Perth looking over the Indian Ocean. In case you aren't aware, I was told that Yogyakarta is located near  Australia and perhaps shared the same Indian Ocean.  As mentioned, tourist flocked to this beach to experience the Gondola, which was otherwise used by the fishermen to catch lobsters. Tourist can also choose the option of crossing over the little island by walking over the suspension bridge. Both options were thrilling, especially when waves were rough. Yogyakarta - A new found place for advetures! Part 2

We had a wonderful time exploring the temples at Jogjia and now it's time for fun and adventure. 1. Tubing @ Pindul Cave Trust me, if you are planning for a visit at this cave, come early as the crowd is lesser and you will have the whole cave to yourself.  Pindul cave is formed by karst with underground river located concerning 7km south of the city center Wonosaru, Gunung Kidul. Wading throughout a river using Cano/Kayak is something common, yet if the stream is located inside a cave, of course it will be a satisfying yet difficult encounter.  Upon entering the premise, the guide briefed us about the cave and the route. Soon we put on our life vest, grabbed a big tube and headed to the cave which is quite a distance from the main entrance. Luckily, the drive to the cave is included in the ticket price.  Soon, we saw the crystal clear emerald lake and a tiny entrance to the cave. The water was cooling and soon we were drifting into darkness. Inside

Located just over a 2 hrs flight from Singapore, this place is extremely accessible and hence a good choice for a short vacation.  Famed for its rich cultural heritage of fine arts, Yogyakarta is the only Indonesian royal city still ruled by a monarchy. Still, this place has got much more to offer for those seeking new adventures and mother nature that remains in her untouched glory.    Here are the top 5 activities and places not to be missed in Yogyakarta! 1. Temple hopping  There are many ancient Hindu temples at Yogyakarta but we've decided to visit the top 4 temples highly raved about by the travellers. Borobudur Temple needs no introduction as it is listed as one of the UNESCO heritage. By far, this is the most impressive temple that I've seen in Indonesia. Borobudur is the single largest Buddhist structure and few who visit fail to be taken by both the scale of the pl
