It was a eventful day for us as we planned to visit all the places listed below.
1. Primo Piazza, The Little Italy of Khao Yai
Primo Piazza is a picturesque inspired Tuscan village situated in Pak Chong. This place is definitely worth your instagram pictures where the Italian style architecture is set dramatically in a lush greenery. Aside from the Italy feel, the main attraction is perhaps the pretty barn that keeps the sheep, alpaca and donkeys. You can feed these animals and which is included in the entrance fee. The kids were absolutely delighted. Personally, I feel that the area was not too big and hence on a crowded day it may be a little hard to take pictures without being photo-bombed. It would also be nice to have the sheeps running about or gazing in the field.
2. Birder's Lodge Cafe and Farmer's Market
Birder's lodge Cafe is near the Primo Piazza and just next to it is the farmer's market. I was told that Birder's lodge is really a popular place to visit. Other than the cafe, it also offers unique lodging. Perhaps, the most iconic drink served from the cafe is the cotton candy soda. I really had to give the food a miss since we have quite a filling breakfast. Hence, we make a quick stop at the farmer's market which can be easily recognized by the greenery hanging by the wall of the wooden house.
The market is actually pretty small and you can find stalls selling vegetables and fruits that looked really fresh, honey, coffee, ice-cream and other handicrafts.
3. Farm Mor Por
Farm Mor Por is the first horse farm in Thailand established by a doctor. Set amidst idyllic natural surroundings, the farm readily opens its doors for visitors to experience nature at its best. From its website, the farm offers a variety of activities such as collecting eggs, animal feeding and of course pony rides.
We decided to go for the pony rides since the boys were really excited about it. The ponies weren't as little as we expected but nevertheless quite a good size for the kids. The kids were each assisted with a professional staff who will took the kids riding on their horses on a bush trail. This is really fun as the kids get to experience the nature while riding the horses. Parents may walk behind the kids. The horse riding only cost us $1,200 THB for a good 30 mins.
4. Strawberry Picking
It's a surprise when we saw a strawberry farm at Khao Yai. What's even surprising is that we can pick our own strawberries. Unlike the big red strawberries that we saw in Australia, the ones at Khao Yai were pretty small. Nevertheless, they were sweet.
Picking strawberries is always fun, though quite hot under the afternoon sun. Luckily, we were provided with large straw hats. It's a pity that there weren't many strawberries but nevertheless, the kids were determined to pick as many as they can and hence combed through the field thoroughly in search of the fruits.
I wouldn't really recommend this place as there weren't many strawberries for picking.
5. Dessert at the Chocolate Factory
The restaurant is 2 storey and is not as big as it looks. The restaurant is divided into 2 main areas: Chocolate Workshop and cafe. The first section is a large glass room, where you can see the Chocolatier creating different types of premium chocolates. The second area is where we can get to shop for some of the products or dine in and savour the various desserts and drinks.
I personally find the dessert quite good and it's really so much cheaper than what we can get at home.

6. PB Valley
PB Valley is located in the province of Nakhon Ratchasima in the district of Khao Yai, set amidst the lush greenery with a back bone of mountain ridges and bordered by the Khao Yai National Park. Indeed, the winery estate offers a serene sense of calmness and clean fresh air.
We signed up for a winery tour that lasted almost 2 hours. We boarded the tram that took us on a tour around its estate and then to the wine cellar to understand the process of making wine. Finally, we got to taste 4 types of wine while the children or those who can't drink wine were offered grape juice instead. Personally, I thought the wine tasted so-so.
We were then brought to the vineyard where we saw rows and rows of hanging grapes. I was intrigued as this was the first time I've seen real grapes.
Overall, I think the vineyard looks really scenic and hence worth a visit.
7. The Bloom
Located next to PB Valley is The Bloom, which is perhaps the least attractive place for me. The Bloom is the biggest flower garden in Khao Yai and supposedly has over 30 species of temperate flowers. There is also a vegetable garden where we saw long beans and pumpkins.
Perhaps, the nicest would be the sunflower field though not as grand as the sea of sunflower in the Saburi district.
8. Dinner at Kua Kampan
Our guide brought us to this restaurant, Kua Kampan for dinner, which was famous for its Thai cuisine. Food was really not bad and so was the ambiance. I would definitely recommend this place if you are craving for Thai delicacies.
