YOLO New Zealand - Day 8 @ Windy Wellington

Finally, we arrived at Wellington and it's time to say goodbye to our current tour mates whom we traveled with for the past 8 days. It's really an amazing journey getting to know new people from different countries, background and culture.

We were given 4 hours to tour around Wellington. This city is so windy! Anyway, Wellington is the capital of New Zealand and is the third most populous urban area in the country. While everyone talks about Auckland (which, contrary to popular belief, is not the capital), the real magic takes place in Wellington. The architecture and eclectic vive give this city a great personality that should not be missed. This is a city of character. How I wish I had more time to explore this city, including its nightlife.

Since we only had around 4 hours, we decided to just explore the harbour, relax and chill. I must say that the harbour is really beautiful.

Pitching our tents for the last night but it snapped and hence we decided to upgrade to a nice cosy cabin with great view!

Mauritius, An Island of Emotion

Mauritius, is an island nation in the Indian Ocean off the southeast coast of the African continent. Together with my Diva friend, we travelled to Mauritius in 2014 for our first ever girls trip or what we called as our "Elephant & Hippo Honeymoon". Although Mauritius is an island, the entire island is at least twice bigger than Singapore. Flights to Mauritius are somewhat limited. The airlines that flew to Mauritius include Air Mauritius, Emirates, British Airway and Air France. From Singapore, it took about 10 hours to reach Mauritius, including an hour transit at KL. Despite the long haul flight, I would say Mauritius is worth the visit at least once in your lifetime. I'm glad to have traveled with my Diva friend to this exotic place. Amanohashidate, a place of tranquility

I once stumbled upon a postcard of Amanohashidate and was instantly mesmerized by the stunning beauty of this enchanting destination. So, where exactly is Amanohashidate? Nestled in the serene northern region of  Kyoto Prefecture, this tranquil town is easily reachable by train from Kyoto Station.  We boarded the Hashidate Limited Express, a comfortable ride that whisked us away on a scenic journey, taking approximately 2.5 hours to arrive at the Amanohashidate Station. To truly embrace the magic of this place, I highly recommend setting out early in the morning, allowing you to bask in the breathtaking landscapes and arrive long before the afternoon sun casts its warm glow over the serene waters and lush greenery. Before making our way up to the Amanohashidate Viewpoint, we dropped our luggage at our hotel, Taikyourou, just an 8-minute walk from the Amanohashidate Train Station. Since it was still early in the day, many of the restaurants in town hadn't opened for lunch yet. ...

A Little Gem Outside Bangkok @ Khao Yai - Day 2

It was a eventful day for us as we planned to visit all the places listed below.  1. Primo Piazza, The Little Italy of Khao Yai  Primo Piazza is a picturesque inspired Tuscan village situated in Pak Chong. This place is definitely worth your instagram pictures where the Italian style architecture is set dramatically in a lush greenery. Aside from the Italy feel, the main attraction is perhaps the pretty barn that keeps the sheep, alpaca and donkeys. You can feed these animals and which is included in the entrance fee. The kids were absolutely delighted. Personally, I feel that the area was not too big and hence on a crowded day it may be a little hard to take pictures without being photo-bombed. It would also be nice to have the sheeps running about or gazing in the field.    2. Birder's Lodge Cafe and Farmer's Market Birder's lodge Cafe is near the Primo Piazza and just...
